May your right hand always be stretched out in friendship and never in want.
-- traditional Irish toast
On December 13th, IABC's DC, Maryland, and Virginia communicators are invited to make merry and give back to the community at the chapter's 2007 Holiday Party. Join IABC members, along with members of WWPR, MENG, Capital Communicators Group, Federal Communicators Network , and other area communicators for a memorable evening of good food, good cheer and good fellowship.
This year, we're offering a little something for everyone at our normal meeting rate. Start the evening with a glass of wine and hors d'oeuvres while catching up with old and new friends. Popular pianist and singer Lizabeth Flood will set the evening's tone by playing your favorite carols and jazz standards.
Later, enjoy a sumptuous buffet of Ritz Carlton delicacies, including carving and pasta stations and their inimitable dessert table. Then dance the evening away with a DJ taking your favorite song requests, both past and present.
And in keeping with the spirit of the season, you'll get a little comfort and joy by extending your goodwill! IABC Washington is partnering with D.C. LEARNs to provide new books to needy children in the Greater Washington area as part of their Early Readers Now (ERN) program. Just bring a new book (see suggestions below) to donate to ERN, and IABC will provide you with a drink coupon for the wine, beer, or cocktail of your choice at our holiday party.
Bring your friends, spouse or partner and colleagues to this Metro-accessible, signature holiday event. And don't forget your business cards!
* Feel free to bring as many books as you like, but we must limit one drink coupon per person. |
