Communications Bulletin
Are you willing to be part of the solution to homelessness? The chapter is looking for volunteer writers/editors and other communications professionals to help further the amazing work of N Street Village (NSV), a woman's shelter and educational facility in Washington, D.C. (www.nstreetvillage.org).
The Community Development Committee and IABC/Washington volunteers have been working with NSV for about a year, helping create fundraising materials and filling other communications needs. The chapter chose NSV because of its truly unique approach to helping women: it not only provides shelter to the needy, but also trains and teaches the women life skills that enable them to move toward realizing their potential.
In addition to the rewards inherent in helping others, volunteers can also participate in a drawing for IABC professional development prizes. For more information about how you can get involved, contact Community Development Committee Chairman Joel Ranck at jranck@lincolnpark.com or
202/832-0478.
