Gov 2.0 and Its Implications for Nonprofits and Small Business
The way local, state and federal government agencies communicate electronically with various stakeholders has direct and indirect impacts on nonprofit organizations and small businesses.
How does your organization measure up? What are some lessons that can be learned from Gov 2.0 best practices? A panel of experts will share with you their success stories at the IABC/DC Metro April Senior Communicators Council breakfast program.
This month, the SCC SIG presents Paul F. Bove, a digital communications strategist and senior web developer within the Air Force Public Affairs Agency, and co-author of Social Media and the Air Force, a primer on social media. Also appearing will be Mike Rupert, communications manager for the District of Columbia’s Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs. Rupert is the chief architect behind DCRA’s collegiate off-campus housing safety initiative, thisshouldbeillegal.com.
The panel will be moderated by Kathy M. Baird, a senior vice president in the integrated marketing communications group of Fleishman-Hillard.
Join us to hear how Social Media use in the government is making a difference, and how case studies and best pracices can be adapted for your organization.
